NSG 409 - Clinician's Guide to Weight Management & Nutrition

Description:

In this course, learners will explore proactive strategies for prevention and treatment of overweight and obesity among children, adolescents, and adults. Nurses and other healthcare professionals will gain knowledge and skills necessary to help their patients evaluate evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle modification, pharmacotherapy, surgical, and/or complementary therapy options for weight management. Additionally, learners will translate current dietary, behavioral, and physical activity guidelines into action to create environmental interventions that address obesity for individuals, families and communities in the context of local and national policy trends.
