The University of Rochester School of Nursing, a national leader in the unification of nursing research, education, and evidence-based practice, is seeking to recruit and retain research-focused faculty candidates with advanced practice or interdisciplinary backgrounds. Successful candidates can teach in their area expertise, share in student mentoring, and should be committed to building a federally funded program of research. Required qualifications include: an earned doctoral degree, scholarship and clinical expertise, previous teaching experience, and evidence of an active research program. Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications, previous academic teaching experience, and/or research productivity.

In addition to the School of Nursing, the University of Rochester Medical Center is one of the fastest growing academic health centers in the United States. URMC recently received a $40 million award to establish a Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and the 750-bed Strong Memorial Hospital was designated as one of the top 100 hospitals in America. The unique composition of the campus enables health professionals to address health care, public policy, and social issues through multidisciplinary research, scholarship, and community action.
