For additional financial aid possibilities, you might want to check out a few websites that provide search services. (Note: The listing of a website does not constitute an endorsement by the University of Rochester School of Nursing.)

College Answer

This site is provided by Sallie Mae, a provider of education funding. It includes a free scholarship search, information on loans, and calculator tools.

CollegeBoard.com Pay for College section

The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. Their “Pay for College” section covers the latest information about college costs, scholarships, financial aid applications, education loans, and college financing.

CollegeNET

This site allows the user to search for a scholarship by keyword or to create a personal profile to generate a list of matching scholarships. 

Discover Nursing

This site is published by Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. You can search scholarships by entering variables that pertain to your situation.

FastWeb

FastWeb is a free scholarship search service. Users answer a questionnaire about themselves. The site then uses this data to generate a personalized list of scholarships, colleges, internships, jobs, and more. 
 

FinAid

FinAid was established in the fall of 1994 as a public service. It is a comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice, and tools. Access to FinAid is free for all users.

National Health Service Corps (NHSC)

The National Health Service Corps offers a scholarship program designed for students committed to providing primary health care in communities of greatest need. Scholarship recipients serve where they are most needed upon completion of their training. Students pursuing a family nurse practitioner program (master's degree in nursing, post-master's, or post-baccalaureate certificate), nurse-midwifery program (master's degree in nursing, post-master's, or post-baccalaureate certificate), and physician assistant program (certificate, associate, baccalaureate, or master's program) are eligible.

New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC)

HESC is the state agency that helps people pay for college. HESC administers the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), guarantees federal student and parent loans, provides guidance for college planning, and provides a highly rated 529 college savings plan.

NIH Loan Repayment Programs

This site answers questions about NIH Loan Repayment Programs for researchers. It covers eligibility, qualifying research, what NIH requires of you, etc.

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF)

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that seeks and distributes funds to baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses who are in need of scholarship assistance for graduate study. 

Nursing Students Association of New York State Scholarship Search Section 

This site allows you to look at scholarships in alphabetical order or to search by location (state) and deadline. You can also limit your search to scholarship categories such as Army ROTC nursing, ethnicity/minority based, gender based, or for people with disabilities.

Peterson's Pay for School section

This is part of a larger “College Planner” site. This section includes a financial aid database of scholarships, grants, and prizes; tops and guidance; expense and savings calculators.  Peterson's is a part of Nelnet, an education services and finance company.

Philanthropy News Digest (PND)

PND is a service of The Foundation Center. Established in 1956, and today supported by more than 600 foundations, the Foundation Center is the nation's leading authority on philanthropy, connecting nonprofits and grantmakers. The PND site includes a useful RFP section.

Scholarship Resource Network (SRN) Express

SRN Express contains a database of over 8,000 programs with a distribution level of over 150,000 awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Users answer a questionnaire about themselves. This site uses the data to generate a personalized list of scholarships.
 

Scholarships

This site offers free scholarship, grant, fellowship, and internship searches. Users create a personal profile to identify and match the scholarships that are most relevant.
