Description:

The Technology Enabled Asthma Management System (TEAMS) is a clinical intervention designed to improve asthma management in young adult technology users.  TEAMS combines nurse-led telemedicine (in home) with smartphone symptom monitoring to improve symptom recognition and make asthma care more accessible.  The program also incorporates guideline-based medication protocols to help insure that patients receive appropriate doses of asthma medications.  The goal of this pilot study is to evaluate the acceptability and effectiveness of TEAMS for improving asthma outcomes.
