Monica Seaman brings 30-plus years of nursing experience to her position as instructor of clinical nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Her clinical background includes perianesthesia (both PACU and same-day surgery), emergency nursing, nurse recruitment, as well as leadership experience.  

Since 2009, Seaman has spent her career in nursing education, specifically as an adjunct clinical instructor and as a service educator in emergency nursing.   

Seaman earned her associate's degree in nursing from Monroe Community College in 1990. She then started working as a bedside nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital on a medical/cardiac unit. She later attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing to obtain a bachelor's degree, and earned a master's in Nursing Education from Robert's Wesleyan College.
