Monica Seaman earned her associate's degree in nursing from Monroe Community College in 1990. She then started working as a bedside nurse at the Strong Memorial Hospital on a medical/cardiac unit. She later attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing to obtain a bachelor's degree, and earned a Master's in Nursing Education at Robert's Wesleyan College.

She brings 30-plus years of nursing experience to her position at the School of Nursing. Her clinical background includes Perianesthesia (both PACU and same-day surgery), emergency nursing, nurse recruitment, as well as leadership experience.  

Since 2009, Monica has spent her career in nursing education, specifically as an adjunct clinical instructor and as a service educator in emergency nursing.
