Major goals of pilot: The study aims are threefold: 1) to test whether syndemic stress acts as a mediator in the relationship between structural factor and HIV risk behavior and outcomes; 2) conduct a multi-group analysis to determine the similarities and differences in the proposed model by partner type (i.e., primary, non-primary); 3) develop and evaluate new multiindicator latent variables measuring structural and syndemic stress constructs to be employed in the analysis (secondary aim).
