After submitting your online application, you can check your application status in the Application Portal. The portal shows the current status of your record and whether required materials have been received. You can also upload select documents directly in the portal, such as your resume.

If you’ve submitted materials that are not marked as received, please contact the Admissions Office. When reaching out, it’s helpful to include where and how the materials were submitted, along with the date submitted and any confirmation details.

No, you do not need to upload all supplemental materials in order to submit your application. We encourage you to submit your application first, and then you may upload additional materials such as resume or transcripts directly in your Application Portal.

Please note, if you are applying to a program that has a deadline, the deadline signifies both the deadline to submit your application, as well as to submit all of your required supplemental materials.

Each of our programs has different deadlines and start dates throughout the year. Find these deadlines and application requirements on the program pages:

No, you do not need to complete an application to take non-matriculated courses, including Online Nursing Prerequisites.

Registering as a non-matriculated student allows you to take courses without being formally admitted to a degree or advanced certificate program at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Students typically enroll in non-matriculated courses to explore a program before applying, or to complete required prerequisite coursework.

For course options and registration details related to your program of interest, please visit the Non-Matriculated Courses & Registration page.

Note: Applicants to the RNFA program must complete an application through the Application Portal.
