SON Tuition Grant for UR Employees

An academic-practice partnership between the University of Rochester Medical Center and School of Nursing covers the full cost of tuition for University of Rochester employees.

As a means of supporting University of Rochester nurses and addressing workforce needs at University of Rochester health care facilities, the School of Nursing is offering an exciting opportunity for employees.

The SON Tuition Grant, together with UR employee tuition benefits, covers the full cost of tuition for employees who enroll in select bachelor's and master's degree programs listed below. The SON Tuition Grant is available to UR employees who apply and enroll by Summer 2025.

RN to BS Online Program

Complete your bachelor’s degree at your own pace to enhance your skills as a nurse and advance your nursing career. The RN to BS program is a 100% online program that features an iPad device to complete coursework and meet with professors. You may also consider earning both your bachelor's and master's degree through the SON Tuition Grant with the RN to BS to MS program.

Clinical Nurse Leader Program

Become a leader by earning your master’s degree as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). As system thinkers and change agents, CNLs influence the way health care and patient care is delivered. Our CNL graduates, equipped to put evidence-based practice into action, lead the way as care coordinators, clinical informaticists, unit educators, program coordinators, nurse managers, and nurse executives.

Nursing Education Program
