Bio
Christopher Larsen MS, RN, CMSRN, PCCN, CNEcl joined the University of Rochester School of Nursing faculty in 2016 as a clinical instructor; he currently teaches master's-level courses for the MNE, NP, and CNL programs. Active in community service efforts, Larsen co-founded the “No One Dies Alone” program at Highland Hospital, which offers companionship and support to patients nearing the end of life. Larsen has also been active with the University of Rochester School of Nursing as a Faculty Liaison for Street Outreach, an organization dedicated to building in-roads into vulnerable populations and educating future physicians and nurses on the issues faced by these populations while providing basic health screening services for the Rochester homeless community. In addition to his role at the School of Nursing, Larsen is employed part-time as a nursing shift supervisor at Rochester Regional Health. He holds professional memberships in the National League for Nursing, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the American Nurses Association. He earned his associate’s degree from Monroe Community College, his bachelor's from SUNY Geneseo, and his master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Rochester School of Nursing. He is currently working towards a post-master’s FNP certificate of advanced study from Roberts Wesleyan University.
