Bio

Dr. Monahan has worked in healthcare for 25 years in all facets including inpatient, outpatient, management, emergency medicine, and homecare. He has taught all age ranges for over 20 years. He holds a doctorate degree and is board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and holds a Nursing Executive-Advanced (NEA) board certification. His passions are around Ethics, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as well as research. He serves on the Diversity, Inclusion, Culture & Equity (DICE) Board, and also serves as a Nurse Ethics liaison (NEL). His dissertation was titled "Staff Nurse Job Satisfaction and Nurse Manager Emotional Intelligence in Three Rochester, NY area hospitals."
