Michael Rosario-McCabe brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to his role as a faculty member at the School of Nursing. He worked in both the hospital and home care settings, developing a specialty practice in the care of HIV-positive patients before joining the School of Nursing faculty in 2018. At the School of Nursing, he has taught and advised students across the school’s undergraduate programs and been a member of the Faculty Governance Committee and several faculty and academic outcomes committees and subcommittees. He spent the first decade of his career at Genesee Hospital, first as an LPN, then a registered nurse. He served as an RN for the Visiting Nurse Service for another 10 years before moving into case management and quality compliance for health care insurance and home care organizations in the Rochester area. Rosario-McCabe earned his bachelor’s degree and a master’s in nursing education degrees from the UR School of Nursing and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education in 2022.
