In 2009 I successfully initiated, planned and facilitated a pilot project in Nursing 377 as a Community Health Clinical Experience @ Albion Correctional Facility. In partnership with STEP by STEP, 12 students provided Parenting Education for incarcerated women @ the correctional facility. This pilot lead to the development of more Community Health Clinical experiences for the APNN students. Since that time I have initiated and secured partnerships with the following community agencies: OACES( Rochester City School District ) Monroe County Correctional Facility, Monroe County Jail, Jennifer House, Nielsen House, Bethany House, Mercy Community Services, Rochester City School District Schools #22 and #15, EnCompass, Cameron Street Ministries, STEP by STEP. Currently I coordinate and facilitate all APNN students with planning and implementing a Health Literacy Project within the community setting. In May 2012 I planned and coordinated a Health Careers Event in partnership with the Childrens School of Rochester(school #15) and supported by the APNN Robert Woods Johnson Scholars entitled SEE WHAT YOU CAN BEE. 40 sixth grade children spent the day @ the School of Nursing and learned about careers in Nursing, Medicine, Nutrition, Physical Therapy and participated in hands on learning in the Simulation Lab and Nursing Skills Lab.), Rochester, NY, US. 5/2006 - Current
