Faculty Promotions
Susan W. Groth, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, received tenure this year. She initially joined the School of Nursing in 1994 as an instructor of clinical nursing and went on to hold positions as an assistant and associate professor of nursing.
Kathi L. Heffner, PhD, was granted tenure. She joined the School of Nursing as an associate professor last year after eight years as a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry.
New Full-Time Faculty Appointments
Jinjiao Wang, PhD, RN, joined the faculty as a tenure-track assistant professor. Wang recently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in gerontological nursing at Vanderbilt University and earned her doctorate at Columbia University.
Chen Zhang, PhD, MPH, is a new research associate and post-doctoral fellow working with mentors James McMahon, PhD, and LaRon E. Nelson, PhD, RN, FNP. She received her doctorate at Vanderbilt University.
Holly Lavigne, PhD, joined the faculty this year as a full-time research associate after working as a senior information analyst at the School of Nursing.
Maria Quiñones-Cordero, PhD, is a new post-doctoral fellow working with mentor Kathi L. Heffner, PhD.
