PhD Students, Faculty Represent UR Nursing at ENRS Scientific Sessions

A team of PhD students and faculty represented the University of Rochester School of Nursing at the Eastern Nursing Research Society's (ENRS) 2023 Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia on March 23 and 24.
The theme of this year's conference was "Promoting Liberty: Addressing Determinants of Health Through Nursing Science." The conference incorporated a strong focus the role of nursing science in understanding social and structural determinants on health and addressing health disparities.
PhD candidate Dillon Dzikowicz, '17N, '21N (MS), PCCN, CMC, CSC, was named the recipient of the 2023 ENRS/Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science Dissertation Award. In Spring 2023, Dzikowicz successfully defended his dissertation, "Differentiating NSTEMI Patients with and without an Occluded Culprit Artery." His research aims to utilize machine learning and novel electrocardiographic features to improve the treatment stratification of patients suffering from heart attacks.
