Bio

Nichole Gardea Butler, MS, LCSW-R, is an accomplished clinical professional specializing in adolescent mental health and resiliency-building initiatives. In her current role as director and assistant professor of clinical nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, Nichole oversees school-based health center operations. The school-based health center provides comprehensive physical (maybe change physical to medical) and mental health services for students at East Upper and Lower School in the City of Rochester.

With a collaborative approach and a commitment to innovation, Nichole is dedicated to improving health outcomes for adolescents and underserved communities. As principal investigator for projects like the New York School Based Health Alliance Mini Grant Project, she has spearheaded efforts to strengthen health service capacity in school-based settings. At East High Clinic, her responsibilities include program planning, staff recruitment, grant management, and clinical oversight.  Butler earned a master of science from Columbia University School of Social Work and a bachelor’s from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
