Bio
Lisa Brophy, EdD, RN, MSBA, CNE, assistant professor of clinical nursing, is the associate dean for undergraduate education at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. In her role, she oversees the School's undergraduate programs, with previous leadership roles as the assistant dean for education and co-director of the accelerated nursing programs. As a nurse for more than three decades, she has held positions in practice, education, and leadership caring for patients in a variety of acute care settings as well as providing perioperative and emergency nursing management.
Brophy is the recipient of the 2018 Josephine Craytor Nursing Faculty Award and the 2019 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is a member of FLONEL and Sigma Theta Tau and recently completed the AACN Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing fellowship. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, master’s in business administration from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business, master’s in nursing education from Roberts Wesleyan College, and her EdD in higher education leadership from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education.
