Associate Professor/Professor Position

The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking tenure-track faculty representing diverse background for positions in several focal areas of research excellence. These faculty members will focus on conducting research, teaching and mentoring, and contributing to the leadership of the school.

Senior faculty are expected to maintain a focused program of research by successfully securing extramural funding, leading collaborative inter-professional research teams, and engaging in ongoing scholarship as evidenced by presentation and publication of research findings. The senior faculty will mentor early-career faculty, post-doctoral fellows and pre-doctoral students and teach in relevant academic programs.

Candidates must have:

  • Research doctorate in nursing or related field
  • Held or hold a faculty appointment at the rank for which they are applying
  • A record of extramural funding, publications, presentations, mentoring and teaching as a fulltime faculty member

The candidate for this position needs a high level of expertise in research methodologies, techniques, and analytic software in the candidate’s area of focus and solid understanding of a wide range of research methods are expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to being a collaborative team member in the School of Nursing, supporting the mission of the school, and working in a collegial manner with health care professionals and researchers across disciplines.
