Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship
The Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship was established to help address the mental health workforce shortage in Western New York by supporting the education of psychiatric nurse practitioner students.
The scholarship, with matching support from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, covers all tuition costs for select students in the online Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
The School of Nursing awards the Patrick P. Lee Scholarship during the application process. Students who apply to the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program (master's or advanced certificate) must indicate their interest in being considered for the scholarship, with preference for students from the following Buffalo area counties:
- Niagara
- Erie
- Chautauqua
- Cattaraugus
Students from Orleans, Wyoming, Genesee, Allegany, Livingston, and Monroe counties may also be considered for the Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship.
Within the application to the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program, students will be prompted to apply for consideration for the Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship. If awarded, recipients will be notified within their decision letter.
Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, be a U.S. citizen, and remain in good academic standing to receive the scholarship throughout their program.
