Saunders Family Nursing Scholarship
The Saunders Family Nursing Scholarship provides full tuition support for eligible employees at UR Medicine Noyes Health who are pursuing select programs through the University of Rochester School of Nursing. This scholarship strengthens the nursing and healthcare workforce pipeline in the Livingston County region by investing in the education and professional growth of Noyes staff members.
Scholarship Overview
Thanks to a generous $3 million gift from the Saunders Foundation, this endowed scholarship fund supports Noyes Health employees by covering 100% of tuition for select undergraduate and graduate programs. The Saunders Family Nursing Scholarship builds on a shared commitment to improving patient care and expanding opportunities for those working within UR Medicine.
Eligible Programs
Full-time and part-time Noyes Health employees are eligible to apply for the following programs:
- RN to BS and RN to BS to MS programs
- Master’s programs (including Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Nursing Education & Leadership in Health Care Systems)
- Advanced Certificate programs
- DNP program
Application Process
To be considered for the Saunders Family Nursing Scholarship, employees must:
- Be a current UR Medicine Noyes Health employee.
- Apply and be accepted into an eligible University of Rochester School of Nursing program.
- Complete the School of Nursing Scholarship Form each semester to maintain scholarship eligibility.
The scholarship will begin awarding full tuition support starting in Spring 2026 semester.

The Saunders Family Nursing Scholarship is made possible through the philanthropy of the Saunders Foundation, whose $3 million gift to the School of Nursing is part of a larger $30 million commitment to the University of Rochester Medical Center in support of nursing, orthopaedics research, and medical education.
