UR Medicine Affiliate Professional Development Grant

The University of Rochester School of Nursing is committed to preparing dynamic, highly-qualified clinicians and leaders to promote the health and well-being of communities served by UR Medicine affiliate systems. 

The Affiliate Professional Development Grant from the School of Nursing has been extended to include additional programs and is available to new and continuing students enrolled for the Fall 2025 semester and beyond. This grant awards 55% tuition support for up to three courses per semester, for eligible employees of UR Medicine affiliate health organizations enrolled in the following programs: 

This grant is awarded by the School of Nursing and may be used in addition to any employer-sponsored tuition benefits offered.

Affiliate organizations include:

  • Highland Hospital
  • Jones Memorial Hospital
  • UR Medicine Home Care
  • Finger Lakes Health
  • F.F. Thompson Health System
  • Noyes Memorial Hospital
  • St. James Hospital
  • Highlands Living Center
  • Highlands of Pittsford
  • Highlands of Brighton

*Subsidiaries of these health care organizations may also be eligible for the UR Medicine Affiliate Professional Development grant. Please contact us to confirm eligibility.

How to Apply

To receive the UR Medicine Affiliate Professional Development Grant:

  1. Apply for one of the eligible programs through our online application system.
  2. Complete the SON Scholarship Form. Keep in mind you will be required to complete this form every semester you intend to receive the grant, after registering for courses.
