The associations of structural factors, syndemic stress factor and behavioral outcomes of HIV transmission in Black MSM: Investigating relationship status as an effect moderator

Dates: 9/1/2017 - 12/31/2018

Role: Hugh F. Crean, PhD : Statistician
Principal Investigator: Natalie Leblanc

Major goals of pilot: The study aims are threefold: 1) to test whether syndemic stress acts as a mediator in the relationship between structural factor and HIV risk behavior and outcomes; 2) conduct a multi-group analysis to determine the similarities and differences in the proposed model by partner type (i.e., primary, non-primary); 3) develop and evaluate new multiindicator latent variables measuring structural and syndemic stress constructs to be employed in the analysis (secondary aim).
