The University of Rochester has a fantastic reputation. To me it was a no-brainer to be a part of this. I didn't think I needed a bachelor's - I had been doing this for so long - but it really made me think more broad in my practice. [After graduating] I'm going to take time to figure out if I want to pursue my NP or if I'll be happy at the bedside or staying in management. I can choose what I want to do now.

I want my work to have a global impact and I knew the University of Rochester had the resources and connections to support that. I wanted to give myself a sandbox.

The resources and flexibility at the School made it easy to pursue my master's as an older student with a full-time job and family. I felt confident in a classroom setting, learning about changes in health care alongside professionals from other disciplines. It was exciting to learn other perspectives, while gaining leadership skills to help me in my current role as a nurse leader.
