The 24-Month Accelerated Bachelor's in Nursing (ABSN) program prepares you to become a bachelor's-prepared nurse while balancing work or other commitments. The program features the same course curriculum and application requirements as the 12-Month Accelerated Bachelor’s in Nursing (ABSN) program, but at a modified pace and in a hybrid-online format — allowing you to pursue your education with greater flexibility while maintaining the same rigorous curriculum proven to prepare you for success.
Over six consecutive semesters, complete 49 nursing credits, 90 lab/skills hours, and 650+ clinical hours in various nursing specialties both online and at the University of Rochester Medical Center campus.
- 1-3 courses per semester
- Online coursework, including a combination of synchronous and asynchronous classes
- Online and onsite labs, with intensive skills/simulation experiences
- In-person clinical (8-9 hours per week), ensuring you receive essential hands-on training and practical experience across nursing specialties
Upon completion, earn a bachelor's of science degree with a major in nursing from the University of Rochester and prepare to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam to obtain RN licensure.
Please note: Applications for the 24-Month Accelerated Bachelor's in Nursing (ABSN) program are only accepted for a summer semester start. Annual application period opens July 16 and closes Nov. 1.
