We are dedicated to providing a learning environment that promotes health and wellness.

Wellness Resources & Support

The University of Rochester supports the overall health and well-being of UR Nursing students by fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where all are welcome.

Below, we've listed some helpful resources related to student health and wellness. To navigate these resources, as well as request specific services related to managing stress or 1:1 academic support, we recommend connecting with School of Nursing faculty and staff through the Center for Academic & Professional Success (CAPS) Office.

CAPS Services

The School of Nursing's Wellness Taskforce also provides the following services for students: 

  • Pet Therapy from 12-1 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays 
  • UCC on-site services on Tuesdays from 12 to 5 p.m.
  • Stress-Busting Drop-In Coping Activities

University Health Service (UHS)

UHS features primary care services, the counseling center, and the health promotion office, among other health services. Access UHSConnect.

The CARE Network

The CARE Network enables members of the University community to express their concern about a person, incident, or issue.

Ombuds Office

Contact the Ombuds Office or the School's Ombuds Affiliate for informal problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Office of Disability Resources

Contact the School of Nursing's ADA Access Coordinator to request accommodations and access disability resources.

Sexual Misconduct & Title IX

Contact the School of Nursing's designated Title IX Coordinator who can answer questions about the University's sexual misconduct policies and assist you with reporting options and resources.

Connect with the Health Promotion Office and our wellness representative to share your experience or ideas about wellness at the School of Nursing.

Wellness at UR Nursing

The School of Nursing is committed to creating a culture of wellness in which our community functions optimally, finds joy, and thrives. The School of Nursing supports wellness events for its students and is committed to promoting wellness throughout the student experience. These efforts are driven by the School’s Wellness Taskforce and Office of Student Affairs.
