The Master's Direct Entry into Nursing Practice (MDE) program previously followed a full-time, four-semester curriculum designed to prepare students without a nursing degree to enter the profession with a Master of Science in Nursing.
Students completed 70 credits, 90 lab/skills hours, and 660 clinical hours, developing the knowledge and skills needed to pass the NCLEX-RN licensing exam and begin professional nursing practice. The curriculum also included master's-level coursework in quality improvement, healthcare policy, evidence-based practice, population health, ethics, and leadership, with preparation for continued study in advanced nursing.
