Undergraduate Nursing Programs
From the beginning, the University of Rochester’s nursing programs were led by forward-thinking and ambitious educators. Founded in 1925, it was among the first in the country to offer nursing education at a University, across the street from the Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
In 2002, the School of Nursing shifted from a traditional undergraduate program to offer accelerated programs for students with a non - nursing bachelor’s degree. Today, we offer several pathways to earn a bachelor's degree with a major in nursing:
