NLX 427 - Assessment and Evaluation in Nursing Education

4 credits ( 3 didactic credits / 1 supervised teaching credit )

Description:: This course will provide students with the opportunity to design, interpret, and evaluate student learning in clinical and academic settings. Students will learn assessment methods appropriate to different settings encountered by nurse educators, including the classroom, clinical settings, and online. Students will learn to evaluate assessment measures using a variety of psychometric tests. Current, ethical, legal and social/policy implications of assessment will be explored. Students will also analyze the role of assessment in program evaluation and accreditation.
