NLX 475 - Leadership in Clinical Nursing

Description:

This course introduces students to the roles and responsibilities of the clinical nurse leader (CNL). Clinical leadership skills are explored within the broader framework of system change and quality improvement. The emphasis is on both the individual CNL role and implementation of the CNL role within interdisciplinary teams. In this course, students also explore organizational microsystems using the Quadruple Aim framework to optimize healthcare system performance. Through two credit hours of precepted clinical leadership experiences, the student begins exposure to the multifaceted role of the CNL.
