Description:

This final course in the Master’s in Nursing Education program focuses on demonstration of competencies of the nurse educator role through the completion of a student role teaching immersion, under the direction of an educationally and experientially prepared nurse educator. This semester-long role immersion experience may include a combination of: student teaching, educational course/curriculum development, assessment design, or relevant nursing education projects, which will be approved by us. Students will apply innovative, evidence-based solutions to educational challenges during this 168-hour student teaching immersion. Students will demonstrate their learning in both student teaching and seminar aspects of this course from theoretical, philosophical, and experiential perspectives.
