Description:

This is the first of three clinical courses for Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students. Content focuses on the fundamentals of acute and critical care that cross all areas of specialization. Learning activities and clinical experiences allow students to apply concepts from advanced health assessment and diagnostic reasoning necessary for safe, high-quality care to adults and older adults with acute, critical, and complex chronic care needs. Students are expected to demonstrate early competence in the AGACNP role at course completion.
