Description:
This course is the second of three clinical courses for Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students. Content focuses on evaluating and managing patients in the multiple specialty areas encountered in acute, critical, and complex chronic care, both in direct care and system support roles. Learning activities and clinical experiences allow students to increase independence in critical thinking, problem-solving, and developing patient-centered plans of care. Students demonstrate advancing competency in advanced practice nursing care of adults and older adults with acute & critical care needs by the end of the course.
