Description:
This course is the last of the three-course sequence for Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students. Content focuses on advanced clinical specialty areas, palliative and end-of-life care, and transitioning from student to new graduate nurse practitioner. Learning activities and clinical experiences allow students to strengthen advanced practice nursing competencies and further develop skills in diagnosing and managing the care of complex acute and critically ill patients as part of an interprofessional team. By the end of the course, students are competent to enter new graduate practice as an AGACNP.
