This is the third of three clinical courses designed to prepare students as pediatric primary care nurse practitioners (PNPs) in a culturally diverse society. Content focuses on advanced complex health problems and transition to professional practice. Learning activities and clinical experiences allow students to strengthen advanced nursing practice competencies as part of an interprofessional team. Students achieve competency for entry-level practice as primary care PNPs who promote optimal pediatric health outcomes and identify opportunities for change in complex healthcare environments.
