NSG 344 - History of Cancer

Description:

In this course students will explore the history of cancer care from antiquity to modern times through the use of literature. Topics such as political activism, family involvement, and patient experience will be discussed throughout the course. In addition, students will analyze aspects of a cancer experience, viewed through the lens of cancer patients and their families, and gleaned through contemporary literature. Students will also reflect on their learning with the goal of increasing emancipatory knowing at individual and professional levels.
