NUR 350 - RN/BS Transition: Reflective Professional Practice

Description:

Within this foundational course for the RN to BS program, students will begin to learn academic skills to support their success. Reflective practice is introduced as a heuristic tool to enhance their professional pathway. Students will learn about nursing history, contemporary issues in nursing, personal and professional values, and ethical theories and principles. These concepts are integrated within assignments to guide professional development. The course encourages the development of scholarship and of written communication with several writing assignments, both informal and formal. In addition, students are introduced to foundations of information technology and its applications to professional nursing practice.
