Description:
This course is designed to equip doctoral students with the skills necessary to collect, appraise, and synthesize published research. Students will be introduced to advanced library skills and organizational techniques essential for developing comprehensive and methodologically sound literature reviews. The course emphasizes critical evaluation of research evidence, focusing on the adequacy of evidence to inform practice. Students will learn to appraise the role of theory in the development of evidence and critique studies and research reviews. Course content is applied to a specific area of research interest, with the goal of identifying clinically significant questions for further study.
