NUR 564 - Quality, Safety and Informatics

Description:

This course prepares students for practice in organizations characterized by quality, safety, performance improvement, outcome measurement and public transparency. Course content addresses: quality and safety tools, information technology and data collection that inform quality and safety; work process design and improvement; and adding to a culture of safety in healthcare. Students gain experience in linking organizational objectives to performance indicators and acquire skill in the design and implementation of performance improvement models through which to evaluate outcomes against performance goals.
