Description:
In this second practicum course, application and integration of knowledge gained through foundational coursework framed by the Essentials continues. Students translate evidence to design a scholarly project in an identified area of practice inquiry to optimize health care system functioning and care delivery. Additional content on theory and implementation frameworks is presented to inform DNP project design. Through the completion of coursework and practicum experiences, students develop theoretically-based, methodologically-sound initiatives which improve practice and or patient care. Following completion of this course, students will be prepared to defend their proposed DNP Scholarly Project and implementation plan, as well as submit their proposal for human subject protection review.
