NUR 578 - DNP Practicum III - Implementation & Evaluation

Description:

This course builds on DNP Practicum II and is usually completed over two semesters. Application and integration of knowledge gained through foundational coursework framed by the AACN Essentials continue with the implementation and evaluation of a scholarly project over several months in an identified area of practice, which has the potential to optimize healthcare system functioning or care delivery. Complementary nursing doctoral roles in knowledge generation within the context of the DNP clinical scholar role are explored. Students are guided through the implementation of theoretically-based, methodologically sound initiatives that improve practice and/or patient care. Following completion of this course, students will be prepared to defend their final scholarly project as well as disseminate project findings.
