NUR 582 - Clinical Immersion: Quality & Safety

Description:
In this doctoral-level practicum, the student will complete 120 hours of structured quality and safety experiences to develop system-level leadership and clinical scholarship competencies. By applying quality improvement, patient safety, and continuous improvement methodologies in real-world healthcare settings, the student will analyze a priority practice problem, examine organizational quality infrastructure, and design data-informed improvement strategies. The student will focus on understanding quality and safety as organization-wide, interprofessional, and equity-focused processes that shape clinical practice, patient outcomes, value, and health equity, while advancing their professional identity as a DNP-prepared nurse leader.
