How to Apply to the RN to BS Online Program

We are excited you are considering applying to the University of Rochester's RN to BS Online program! As you work on your online application, we recommend reviewing the following program requirements and application materials carefully in addition to financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

We are committed to helping registered nurses achieve bachelor’s degree preparation consistent with New York State’s BS in 10 initiative. The RN to BS Online program is open to all applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.

Application Deadlines

Students can enroll in the RN to BS programs in September, January, or May. All application materials must be received by midnight of the deadline.

Program Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the RN to BS Online program:

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing
• RN licensure from New York State
• English language proficiency

Application Requirements

To complete your application, you will need to create an account and complete all sections of the application. Submit the following materials by uploading to your application before the deadline:

• Official transcripts from all schools attended
• Current resume or CV
• Current RN license
• One letter of recommendation from academic or professional references
• TOEFL, IELTS, or DET scores for applicants who are non-native English speakers
