Surgeon Preceptor Letter

The Surgeon Preceptor Letter is a formal statement of support from your identified preceptor that confirms their qualifications and commitment to supervising your clinical internship. This letter ensures that you will complete your required RN First Assistant clinical hours under the guidance of a board-certified surgeon at an approved practice site.

Letter requirements

The Surgeon Preceptor Letter must include:

  • Official hospital letterhead
  • Date
  • Preceptor's name
  • Statement of board certification in XXXXXX specialty
  • Statement of preceptor's willingness to precept the student for 200 hours in the RN First Assistant program
  • Preceptor's digital or handwritten signature
