NLX 430 - Integrating Technology in Nursing Education

3 credits

Description:

Technology is just one tool at the disposal of skilled nurse educators. The expert use of technology can enhance learning activities for students and nursing staff. The purpose of this course is to introduce nurse educators to the many types of technology that are available. The course will provide examples of how to take these technologies and apply them to a variety of academic and clinical settings.

This course will use the principles of the community of inquiry to provide rich interaction between classmates and faculty. Materials are a combination of video, textbook readings, and articles on current research and practices. Finally, each module will require students to thoughtfully reflect on the materials and their practice as nurse educators.
