Description:
In this course, you will explore principles of teaching and learning in nursing across academic and clinical settings. Using the National League for Nursing Core Competencies (NLN) for Academic Nurse Educators and the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Nursing Professional Development Practice Model as guiding frameworks, you will examine the roles and practices of academic nurse educators and nursing professional development practitioners. You will apply theoretical frameworks and evidence-based practices while exploring current and emerging issues in nursing education. You will analyze trends and relevant data to identify the educational and practice needs of nurses and consider strategies for creating active, inclusive, and effective learning environments within today’s complex healthcare landscape. Through these experiences, you will develop a role-specific foundation for continued learning throughout the MNE curriculum.
