Description:
This advanced practice nursing course for Family NP, Pediatric NP, AG Primary Care and AG Acute Care students addresses common mental health problems for patients across the lifespan. Students examine the neurologic, psychological, and pathologic mechanisms underlying mental health and psychiatric disorders. Students learn evidence-based assessments, diagnostic criteria, and pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management strategies for patients presenting in diverse clinical settings.
