This course is an introduction to the scholarly writing skills students need for graduate study in the health professions. The genre of scholarly writing is characterized by the use of evidence to support claims, the careful citation of sources, the precise use of language, and communication with a professional audience. Course assignments introduce students to the fundamentals of scholarly writing, APA style, and academic integrity.
