Official transcripts are required from all previously attended institutions in order to evaluate coursework. In some instances, a course syllabus may also be requested to evaluate transfer credit. (If coursework was taken at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, applicants do not need to request an official transcript.)
Note: International applicants for all programs must have transcripts evaluated either through WES, ECS, or IEE. Please visit International Applicants webpage for more information.
Transcripts should be sent to the University of Rochester School of Nursing, NOT the University of Rochester, for both paper and electronic transcripts as described above. It is also helpful to note on the application if transcripts will be under a different last name. Official electronic transcripts must be sent by the registrar’s office at the credit-awarding institution through a student clearinghouse-approved agency, such as Parchment.
Official letters of recommendation are managed through the online application. Applicants submit references' names and contact information in the online application to generate a request for the letter of recommendation.
We advise applicants to connect with references prior to completing this information to confirm references can supply the letter of recommendation by the deadline. Please note: References may edit letters of recommendation before or after submission of the application.
A current resume or curriculum vitae should be uploaded into the application, including:

"Take a deep breath and aim at every single target, every goal and every desire. Do it while you’re afraid. Do it while you’re feeling the emotions that you’re just not good enough ... Do it because of your life, your kids, your family. The nation. The world depends on it and when you aim, give it everything you’ve got.”
