Tuition Awards and Stipend Support
We are dedicated to supporting our MS-PhD and PhD students financially, allowing you to focus on developing and refining your dissertation research project.
Unlike other MS-PhD programs, all full-time UR School of Nursing students are 100 percent funded with full tuition waivers and an additional annual cost-of-living stipend of $25,000. The School provides full tuition awards for MS-PhD students for up to 60 credits at the SON tuition rate up to seven years of study. The $25,000 stipend is provided for the first four years of study.
Additional financial support is facilitated in following years through assistance with student applications for a wide range of funding for continued PhD study and research.
For full eligibility of scholarship opportunities, apply by Feb. 1.
In addition to tuition and stipend support, our students have also earned outside funding to support their education, including:
- other scholarship opportunities for PhD students
- research and teaching assistantships in the School of Nursing
Financial aid may be available to part-time students depending on credit load. Employees of the University of Rochester may also explore tuition benefits to support part-time study.
