A study of those physiological and pathophysiological processes that are a basis for advanced nursing practice. The focus is on regulatory mechanisms that maintain homeostasis and the clinical problems that arise in the pathophysiological state. Content is based on theories from physiologic and immunologic research. This course is offered with varying credit and consists of cell physiology and immunology; neurophysiology and endocrinology; cardiovascular and respiratory physiology; and renal and gastrointestinal physiology.
